The only time it means asexual is when people are using the term as an insult. Like to call one a “beta male”. And they’ll mean less asexual, and more… unable to find a relationship. In a derogatory sense. So I would not call myself a proud beta if I were you!

I think Rake has it down pat. It’s like a pseudo-science that certain cishet white dudes follow. In which they think there’s a natural hierarchy in humans – placing a theory on wolves to humans. Humans aren’t wolves! And it’s a discredited theory for wolves too, haha. It might have been observed in captive cases, I think, but I digress.

can i just say how incredibly disappointed i am in everyone for not referencing “because i’ve lost control of my life”

i made a homemade pizza tonight, but it at was at a comparitively respectable time (like 11:00pm but what do you want from me) so i cannot unfortunately say that i made this due to losing control of my life like any former nicktoons star.

sauce was made from scratch and was pretty good! i still have a ton left over, though. pizza ended up better than i expected. it was very thick in certain places and reminded me more of delissio than anything from a restaurant or pizzaria, but it was totally good enough.

Oh yes, Brave New World! I had to read that in high school.

Admittedly I dislike the worldview Brave New World portrays – it’s far too cynical and pessimistic of a book, if you ask me – but it’s true that the book only uses the greek letter caste system to critique and satirize the idea of it. It’s a pretty good book, for sure.

And yes Brave New World was first published in 1932, so I think it does predate the wolf studies, etc. It’s funny for the whole concept to be connected to a book which satirizes the idea.

Hey, I just wanted to give a quick heads up for my Text Adventure game over in the Interactive Games forum.

Lately, I’ve been suffering some real problems with memory. I take this game seriously and I want to see it succeed, and I try to have two or so replies in between my own posts to have a sort of flow. Sometimes, I wait for those replies, and then wait even further to try and come up with a good enough post to make. And sometimes after that, I’ll forget about the thread entirely. Often won’t remember until days or weeks later, after I see my written down plans or see something else to remind me.

The reason I’m telling you this is because I don’t want anyone to think I’ve given up. It’s not really an excuse, either, just an explanation. I very much appreciate those who have been playing along with me! Thank you so much. I try to say completely within character within the game, which is why I’m posting this here. Basically, I’m sorry for the delays!

And those sugar cubes from the Imperial restaurant in Chinatown that you’re supposed to use in tea, but since nobody in your extended family really uses them you swipe them at the end of the party when your parents aren’t looking, then consume them as a questionable snack throughout that week.

lol I quickly realized that the way I described it back then was absolutely terrible, but naw this place has turned out to be great actually. I’m working, I’m making money so that’s awesome, everyone else here is great too, it’s not a cult at all literally just life skills and stuff, it’s really helped. One of the last things I mentioned here on the forum before leaving was that I was looking to get hired for a job, I had to cancel that cause I just couldn’t handle it. I was honestly pretty depressed and doing absolutely nothing with my life but I feel a lot better now.

I’m not gonna be back on discord for a bit still but I am indeed back back on the forum at least.

Also I’m officially out as gay to real life people now so that’s neat

It’s visible tonight/right now in North America. (It’s 3:00am EST as I write this.) Apparently at least as far south as Georgia, USA. Which is pretty damn south. Yet here I am, north of Toronto, Ontario, and I’ve got nothing. Supposedly Ontarians have until 5:00am, though, so I’m going to still keep an eye out. Just walked the dog for an hour and a half hoping. She’s a horrible when it comes to walks lol.
