This is a brilliant idea and I’m depressed that it died.
Perhaps we do a thread reboot?

I’m down. I have been for 2 years. I just need to actually sit down and make something. I think that’s the biggest reason this thing died in the first place.

I can play guitar and I can kind of play Ocarina. I can also use FL Studio(Demo) and FamiTracker.

Edit: Oh, and Audacity and anything vocal from Tenor 2 to Bass 2.

Alright, if you can, look through the music and see if you’d be able to do anything. We really need a trombone player for a majority of these songs.

I’m thinking we do something simple for right now. How about Ness’ Bike theme?
We have to start with something, right?

Trumpet player, here. Also some ukulele (but nothing impressive). And I own a keyboard, on which I can play really really basic stuff.

I can arrange and transpose for whatever instrumentation we end up with, if needed.

That first one would be really awesome if we can get a good instrumentation put together. Are there any saxophones in the crowd?

Alright, well can play the acoustic and electric guitar, as well as owning both.

I have a nice keyboard that I know how to play.

I also play harmonica, recorder, trombone, and drums.

I play violin, but I don’t have one.

I can also sing fairly well, read sheet music, and can do a high harmony part to almost anything.

Can anybody use me? I want to do something for the awesome.

EDIT: And electric bass.

Ohgod that sounds great. Im thinking a lot of electric and distortion, perhaps somebody else would like to do the drums? I’m absolute rubbish at fills.

I already have the chords progression down, Ill upload a makeshift take in a second. Tell me if it sounds right.

Oh man getting in on this. I play clarinet rather well (youtube.com/grenadillagiant for some samples); I can sort of play alto sax. I also have an electric keyboard, some chiptuning materials in case we decided upon having a chiptune of some sort, and I can sort of sing.

I also have a work in progress on an old collab with submissions from about 5 people singing the 8 Melodies. Maybe we could work that in somewhere. I will do any Earthbound song at will on clarinet with some extra instruments added in whoop

Absol, can I have those files? Below you should find a version of 8melodies that is lacking good vocals.

and biehlza, I think a thread reboot is great, but first we should get two or three songs done, to show what we’ve worked on. Also, try PM’ing the guy who originally made this.

EDIT Actually, if it’s not too much trouble – you should just begin anew. I’d like to make a new thread, have submissions be worked on and finals posted there labeled FINAL_(songname). Recently I bought a 75$ mixing program that the professional studio guys use, so I could make the final Album cuts, and then we can release them on the main post and via soundcloud and bandcamp. This could actually be very cool.

I just noticed this thread for the first time and I’d love to be involved. I’ve been playing electric guitar for about 8 years and it’s my specialty. If anyone needs a guitar track laid down for anything I’m your guy. I also arrange for the guitar so that may be helpful as well.
