Here’s mine! It’s called “Triste Clair de Lune” (Sad Moonlight), because it’s a crossover between MOTHER 3’s Sad Theme and Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy. I apologize for the low quality synthesizer, it’s garbage and uh imagine a real piano playing it. I have found a better synthesizer and have updated the folder! If you’ve already listened to it (specifically Drake/Majora), please do listen again! Sorry to do this to you.

In the beginning, it opens with the Sad Theme, but the AM ⁷ (add9) chord leads to the louder repeat of the introduction of Clair de Lune. A brief tie-in to the Pigmask motif in the Sad Theme, and then back to the dramatic part of Clair de Lune. Now, it crosses over more. In the risoluto section, it switches between the traditional tuplets of Clair de Lune and a sped up line from the Pigmask motif. It rises to the high D chord, with the Pigmask motif carrying on below. When the dissonant 7b ⁷ chord repeats, the “glissando” (just a run) brings us up to prepare for the falling GM ⁷ arpeggios. A powerful chord comes in, before it switches to the I DM ⁷ arpeggios. Staccato triplets lead into the final sped-up Pigmask motif, slowing down to the Sad Theme once more. Ending with a mediant-centered chord and a Debussy-esque triplet up to the end.

The full thing can be found here. The mp3 is the low quality synthesizer but it’s what you need. I’ve included a .wav which is higher quality, but I don’t know if everyone can run it, so I’ve included a .mp3 as well. I’ve included the sheet music – but note I did not focus on keeping the sheet music clear or playable, I just made it to make noise.

A demake of MOTHER 3’s prologue in EarthBound’s engine!

I’ve been working on this pretty hard since the funfest was announced, but unfortunately it’s still not complete. MOTHER 3 has a lot that EarthBound doesn’t, especially in the cutscene department, and things take a long time to get right.

There’s a demo patch attached, but it only runs up to the cutscene where Claus runs into a Drago, whereupon things start to break. However, you can mess around on the left half of the plateau all you like, since that’s more or less 100% complete.

If you don’t want to patch this, here is a video of it in action (the video has the correct music edited over it, since I haven’t implemented any music yet)

Keep an eye out on the PK Hack board though, since I’m still working on this and will eventually post an updated version there.
