This could be viewed as a rather silly request, but I find it a little strange that every category in a GPP earns a badge except for the special theme for that day. Sure they get prizes mailed to them, but aren’t little blocks of pixels worth so much more than that? Spyden is shot

Badge Contest!

Basically, I’m looking for a cool badge to give to the winners of the specific categories for each GPP. Whoever makes the badge that I think is the best for the job will win the contest and be given the very badge that they have made. (Or perhaps a different badge that’s also cool, who knows?)

Here are the basic rules:

• All badges must be no larger than 30 pixels by 30 pixels. Anything larger will not be considered.
• Badges may be animated or not, that is up to you.
• NO .bmp FILES!

Some suggestions:

• This is for an Earthbound Fanfest, so something Earthbound related is definitely a plus for the coolness of a badge.
• If you want to do animations, keep the animation subtle. Subtlety is awesome!
• To reiterate, animations are not necessary.

The Deadline for badge submissions is Sunday, November 14th.

Clarification Request-You want 1 badge for each GPP?

You may make as many badges as you please. Whether or not that will increase your chances of winning is hard to say, you’ll just have to try and find out!

Here’s one I made.

MS Paint or some other computer art making tool and then make something that is 30×30 pixels.

Then you attach it to your post by clicking the “more posting and formatting options” button on the bottom right corner of your reply window and then attaching it. That’s how you enter a badge in.

This is a first for me.

I’m not sure if there’s already a Giygas badge, buuuut…

This is my first, and probably last, animated badge.

I don’t really like this one I made.

I really like The spinning Saucer one, Bobburt’s Diamondized ones, and the golden Ness ones (both Stevesy’s and Gaia’s). PKXD, You should blank out the background for the Kraken one, it’d look way cooler, do you know how?

Ok my last entries haha. Sort of a ‘dumbed down’ PSI Rockin.

The first one has sorta “overlapping” colors when it goes into the squares.

This second one has the same, but inverted “overlapped” colors in the squares, so this one shows more colors.

Edit: It’s 11:58 pm here on the pacific coast, so I hope this isn’t late haha. I cleaned up the second animated badge here.

There were many excellent badge designs, and we may even end up using one or two more for other events or giveaways (in which you will be notified.) However, for this contest there can be only one winner, and that person is: Gaia Dragon! The concept of the golden Ness statue is a fantastic prize for those who win the GPPs, and Stevesesy’s addition of animation is a perfect fit.

Luckily Gaia Dragon also submitted a second design, which now has a very special honor all by itself. In the future, if there are any badge-creating contests, this badge will be given to the winner of that contest as well.

I am jealous of Stevesesy and all of his badges. But at the same time I look at all those badges in awe.

I gotta get good at stuff so I can earn badges.
