Gameplay

Name your characters and start the game. Save after you’ve beat up the local punks and reached your first sanctuary!

Challenges

Bring home as many cookies as you can.
Avoid all fights until Starman Junior or get to level 8 so you can own him with Rockin’.
Don’t ask your dog for help. He’d rather be lazy anyway.
Don’t equip the Cracked Bat.
Don’t go back home to mooch off of Mom.
Don’t use the magic butterflies.
1/128 CHALLENGE! Shark Punks sometimes drop Pizzas. Beat one out of them!
Defeat Titanic Ant at Level 7 or less.
No PSI Life Up!
1/128 CHALLENGE! Attack Slugs sometimes drop Bombs. Get one!

The Onett Arcade constructed in Lego Digital Designer. I tried to squeeze in as much detail as possible, including what appears on the arcade screens and the posters hanging on the walls, as well as the trademark sign on the building's exterior. Sharks sold separately.

Onett Rebellion

Well, I really thought about this first theme. "Rebellion". What could you get into? I decided to really think beyond the topic of the piece being rebellious... but the entire piece and the artist itself being rebellious. Being an artist usually requires following certain guidelines... What colors go together, how neat it is, how the lines work, what shapes are used... throw that all away! Because this is a "rebellion" of an artist! The paper size was 8 x 19, and prismacolor markers were used, alongside a Micron. I hope you like the concept as much as I liked working on this! I do have to apologize for my scanner being a bit... disagreeing, but I fixed it up to the best of my ability. Yeah something simple, but I thought I'd see what I could make. Folks think Paula is all sweet and angelic, but she has a rebellious side as well.

GPP1 - Setting Out

I really want to try and participate in the creative side of the GPP this year. I took an online drawing class this summer, so this is a chance to put the skills I learned to use. My art skills aren't that great, but I'd like to use this opportunity to get better. I don't think I'm going to be able to submit to all of them, but I'll try and submit at least once a week Anyway, here's a picture of Ness for GPP1. I wanted to draw Ness as he was just setting out on his adventure with only the cracked bat and his backpack at his side. It doesn't really count as "rebellious" but more adventurous I guess.

EB Enemy Trading Card Set

Well, here goes my biggest entry guys, a 21-trading card set I made using small drawing board artist cards, india ink, and prisma colors. All drawn free-hand, designed free-hand, colored free-hand. And I know that is repetitive but its because it took me a month to complete these, they also have descriptions in the back each, and my Trick or Trick Kid card is only available with the Munny figurine I created of him. :P

Vignettes from EB - Onett

I wrote a dramatic retelling of the Onett portion of the EarthBound story and it is not good and it is too long and I feel it has too much dialogue and I feel the atmosphere is too thin and Ness is too violent but I submitted it anyway because blah. I wrote it in two hours and didn't edit. Next one will be better, promise <333 Rocks will be chucked.

Showing my REBELLION by talking about the Game Play Point.

Today was fairly easy. I did grind to Level 5 before getting Picky and filled my inventory with Cookies, but I got the Sound Stone. I did pick up the map but Escargo Expressed it. A man without a map is not popular with the girls. I grinded to Level 8 to learn Rockin which wiped Frank and then was able to beat Frankystein Mk II with a bash after using another Rockin. In the Giant Step Cave, I grinded to Level 13 and was able to use Rockin three times on Titanic Ant and was able to finish him with a bash. The first Sanctuary was conquered and I returned to rest for the night. I was happily strolling along when this little guy dropped something nice for me.
