It's that time again. He's about to escape, and I hope we're all prepared. It's the fourth annual Starmen.Net WHAMAGEDDON!

If this is your first time, please take a moment to review the rules. If this is your second, third, or fourth time, please review the rules anyway, you don't want to be the person who eliminates themselves on a weird technicality.

This game is based on the honor system! If you spend December 8th with the song on loop for some reason, and then roll up on December 25th to declare that you've won, then the only person you've cheated is yourself! If you've decided to play, then reveal yourself as soon as possible! It's not fun to declare victory if no one even knew you were playing! I'll even put you on a list of currently active players that I will probably remember to update sometimes! Here's a quick rundown of the rules for anyone who couldn't be bothered to click through to the WHAMAGEDDON website... Rule 1: The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM's Christmas classic; "Last Christmas". Rule 2: The game starts on December 1st, and ends at midnight on December 24th. Use your local timezone, if you'd like. Rule 3: Only the original version applies. Enjoy the ?#!$&%! out of remixes and covers. Rule 4: You're out as soon as you recognize the song. Bonus Rule: Post here when you get eliminated! It's so much more fun watching your competition drop like flies throughout the month! PvP: While we can't stop you from deliberately sending your friends to Whamhalla, the intention is that this is a survival game. Not a Battle Royale. So play nice!

Yes! Another year of this. I remember losing last year while walking in an airport, and just barely making out the song from some gift shop. Make sure you guys wear earplugs at ALL times, and never leave the house.

I mentioned this on the discord but they finally fixed the speakers at work and have started playing their christmas music playlist, which means that I am most likely doomed this year. Goodbye 3 year victory streak, you will be missed o7

THE GAME HAS BEGUN

it is officially 8am and I’m still alive.

To keep it that way, I made sure to add some extra heavy songs to my workout playlist which also functions as a stress-relief, rocking out, conversation-avoiding, and anti-WHAM playlist. My headphones double-function as noise cancelers and my 504 requires teacher to let me wear them all day. Boom. I love having ADHD.

I can’t believe that my partner just showed me an Instagram reel with Ocarina of Time Link set to this very song, which I listened to at 2:43 PM Atlantic Time on THE VERY FIRST DAY OF DECEMBER.

They had no idea I was doing this challenge.
