I open debug mod when i played undertale for the first time,Then when I got to Snowdin,The game starts out a little stuck,and i Restart game but when i join the game the screen is all black and i wait 10 minutes,suddenly chara talk to me and ask me “do u wat to selling your sol?”and i accept and left the game and check my undertale appdata and the “system information 962”was in my appdata and i delete “system information 962”,my undertale appdata and my game ,fter delete i download the game back and i want to play “The True Pacifist Route”but when i saving san and papyrus soul suddenly it jump it out*FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Step Evento for object obj_ripoff_papyrus: Unable to find any instance for object index ‘124890’ name ‘<undefined>’ at gml_Object_obj_ripoff_papyrus_Step_0*Then I force quit the game:( so pls tell me how to fix it

Do you have a screenshot of the error?

I don’t think Undertale really has a debug mode, so if you did something like trying to extract the game files without first backing up your game, it’s possible it will be irreparably corrupted and you will have to completely uninstall everything and delete all game files, then redownload it from steam or wherever you bought it.

hit the little “More posting & formatting options »” at the bottom of the textbox, go down to Attachments and hit Choose File, then Upload File to the right.

Yeah that looks like a pretty standard gamemaker error.

My guess is that in your attempt to decompile the executable to change the code and enable the debug flag, it rendered the program unstable, and now you will have to completely remove all Undertale files from your computer, redownload it from wherever you bought it, and start again from there. There looked to be a pretty comprehensive guide to doing this on steam, but even it warns that trying to hack the game can make it unstable and broken.

Sorry about that, there’s not much else you can do.

Not really a bug. This probably happened because you tried to access the “debug mode” which is not normally available without hacking the game.

It’s like if you took apart a working desk fan, then put it back together, and then the fan didn’t work like it used to. You might have accidentally changed something that caused the game to break in this way.

e: If you want to fix it, you will have to restart by deleting all the undertale files, and then re-downloading them. Starting from the beginning.

I would guess you wouldn’t have to restart your entire save file. The save files are stored separately from the actual game data so deleting and reinstalling the game shouldn’t affect the save.

And then I have 2 questions to ask you, sir.1: I know file 0 is a game loaded file, but can I download the complete file0 archive from Google and then replace the old file0？
2: Is there anything mission to do with Papyrus after dating with Papyrus?
