Hey there!

You may have noticed that the Radio PSI board is missing from the community section, and there’s this board sitting next to Game Gab and Tech Talk that didn’t used to be there. What’s up with that?

Well, long before those changes were made, the Radio PSI board had been opened up for general music discussion. For the most part, though, nobody seemed to notice, and it continued to sit there quietly, only rarely hosting any discussion. We decided to make it more obvious that this board wasn’t just for Radio PSI anymore, and was in fact open for all music discussion.

This board is for the discussion of:

music you listen to
music you hate
music you compose/perform yourself
weird music you find on the internet
videogame music
music music music

We’ve already got a few big (ish) topics for getting you started discussing things like:

This board will also continue to be used to keep you guys updated on Radio PSI goings-on, including the broadcasting schedule and current segments scoreboard.

There’s nothing special about this board as far as rules go. Just make sure you’re not pirating music in here. :P

Honestly, having the schedule in the stickies for this board is probably going to end up being more visibility than having the separate board nobody ever went to.

Im gonna just repost my old shows to my youtube channel, so you can catch it there. Just loses the live participation feel tho. Still fun. Im sure most the other DJs do the same, either podcast or video wise.

Is there a thread that collects EarthBound-related albums that are worth noting? There’s a lot of stuff out there, and our own Rock Candy are among the best (IMHO), but I’ve recently found a few good ones I had no clue about before.

I want to make a thread for it, but want to make sure that there isn’t already one. I can’t find it for the life of me, anybody who is more active in RadioPSI who can confirm/disprove this?

And what I mean is a thread in which the OP is regularly updated with links as suggested by posters so that a person looking for quality EB covers can find it all in one place.

That doesn’t sound familiar to me. If you’ve got a list in mind, please do go ahead and make the topic– it sounds like the sort of thing we’d keep stickied up at the top of the board for reference.

I know this might seem like a weird question, but I’m really trying here.

Sometimes, I’ve hummed randomly and made a pretty good song for a ROM hack, but I suck at making notes. Any help would be great.

One thing you can do is learn the seven notes of a major scale/minor scale, and then learn to identify which note of the scale you’re humming. It’s not perfect, but it works for me.
