[REQUEST] Help Me Make Beautiful Music « General Music Discussion « Forum

Hey guys, I have a question for you:

Ever had a really cool idea for a song, but never had the time or equipment to make it a reality? In this thread I’m aiming to fix that problem, by making a song out of your own ideas! I had a resolution to produce at least one song a week, and while I’ve been keeping it up so far, I think this topic would really help me get past that “idea” stage and move right ahead with the music making.

Maybe try a hip-hop remix of Singing Stadium (PSX name) / Town Square Banquet (3DS version) from Dragon Quest VII? I dunno, I’ve always thought that’d sound really cool but I can’t make it.

Just a heads up, I’m working on all of these right away, but it’ll take anywhere from 2 days – a week (maybe more once uni kicks in again) to have the song completed. I’ll try to pump them out as fast as I can though!

Hello I should be ashamed of myself for making you wait this long but never let it be said that I don’t keep my promises. Even though this is 4 months late, I had to devote my time to university and exams and this topic fell off my to do list for awhile.

Alrighty, opinion time!

The beginning, though sounding awesome, got kinda slow after a while and I couldn’t hear the similarities with Palace of Winds. Some of the chords were similar, I think, but that’s about it. Maybe I just couldn’t hear them?

The drop with the fast part was great though! Even though it’s the only recognizable part from the real song, I thought it was lovely. Very nice job there.

But yeah, the only thing I could say you could work on is make the beginning have more parts from the song. If you’ve listened to the real song, maybe, in the background, have the clarinet part that plays in the beginning play on an instrument, as well as that harp part, not only to make it sound more like the real song, but to sound less repetitive.

But that’s just me. Very nice job and I’m looking forward to the next song!
