I used to be quite fan of content makers for Channel Awesome/ That Guy with the Glasses.

Needless to say a lot of that stuff and some of the creators haven’t aged well at all.

I still love stuff Lindsay Ellis, Todd in the Shadows, and Radio Dead Air put out.

(I know this thread is kinda dead, but I really want us to talk about our favorite creators and also what our own content creation processes are, as it’s my favorite subject.)

I’ll come back here to talk about some of my favorite creators, a couple of which are OG Starmen net alumns, but for now I wanted to share a kinda fun bit of insight into the whole process of making YouTube content now versus 15 years ago, which is when I started.

15 years ago, you either just were discovered because the algorithm was pretty decent at showing new content or you posted on forums like these. But nowadays you gotta share every video link to Twitter in the hopes that someone will see one of your tweets.

The scheduling of said tweets is also a special kind of pain, as it’s so tedious, especially if you’ve got a backlog waiting to be released. (I’m doing this right now lol)

What about y’all? Have any of y’all been in the content creation game long?
