Wildfire’s entry voice is so disappointing. My favorite character but just…

When Skylanders came out, being older than all of you, I hated them. Strongly. It was very popular with younger crowds, but it was really controversial for others. And the reason for that was mostly because it was a new Spyro the dragon IP that differed from the series and character we had already grown to know and love since the ’90s.
And honestly? I don’t really believe that’s a valid reason to hate these games. While it did effectively replace the Spyro of old, it was quite clearly a spin-off of an otherwise dormant franchise. I still understand why it was frustrating for some of us when it debuted way back when, but the game should be judged on its own merits. I’ve never played them.
I do appreciate that they helped kick off the toys-to-life fad of the later 2010s. I wish the phenomena were still a bit more common. I love Amiibo and I wish they weren’t mostly exclusive to Super Smash Bros, Mario, and Animal Crossing with only few exceptions. Unless they’re pricey, as some amiibo/toys-to-life sadly still are, I certainly wouldn’t mind owning the Bowser and Donkey Kong Skylanders. At that point, I may as well get the game for WiiU.
