Welcome back one and all to the monthly riddle show! I’m your host, Eggman, and this month it’s time for GameCube Riddles. In the spirit of getting back to School, let’s start things quickly.
I’ll post a riddle and assign it a difficulty and points. Once it is out, you can guess the answer, but you’ll have to provide logic for each line of the riddle (unless two lines or more clearly go together). First one to answer with logic gets the points. Here’s an example of what I’m looking for.
The riddle:

Ditched the numbers
and cartridges, too
Has an iconic shape
Made by Nintendoo
And its answer: the GameCube.
Ditched the numbers: The GameCube, unlike its predecessor, did not include numbers in the title.
and cartridges, too: Instead, it had little discs.
Has an iconic shape: It’s quadrilateral!
Made by Nintendoo: Hey, I have a rhyme scheme to uphold.
Each riddle will run until someone answers it, with a new hint provided for each update it goes unanswered. After one hint, you can only get half the logic points. After two hints, no one can get points for logic. If nobody solves a riddle after five hints, I’ll post the answer and move on.
I will update the riddles around 5:00 P.M. EST. I’ll do my best to update at 5:00, but if I’ll be considerably later or earlier I will give advance notice.
Points breakdown:
Easy- 4 points (2 + 2 logic)
Normal- 6 points (4 + 2 logic)
Hard- 10 points (8 + 2 logic)
Super Hard- 13 points (11 + 2 logic)
Here are some other ways to get points:
First will be private message riddles. These will appear alongside the regular riddles. They range from Easy to Super Hard, and are worth as many points as their regular counterparts. As many people who answer them correctly AND provide logic will get the points.
All kinds of PM riddle are considered “closed guess”. This means that you won’t know whether or not you got it right until I update the thread. Basically, just like a regular riddle, but private! There is nothing preventing you from making multiple attempts at a PM riddle. If you do do this, please send your follow-up answers as replies to the original PM, for organization’s sake. I will count the answer closest to the bottom of the page as your final answer.
ALL ANSWERS TO THE PM RIDDLES HAVE TO BE SENT TO ME IN A PRIVATE MESSAGE. If anyone does not do this, your answer won’t count and you’ll just share your answers with everyone else! This is a competition, and you wouldn’t want that, would you? If you DO wind up posting a PM riddle guess in the thread, please edit it out of your post to be considerate for the other players.
Second, if you provide an answer to a regular riddle that is incorrect, but I deem it close to the actual answer, then you will receive points at my discretion.
Third, if you PM me a riddle to use, I’ll award you 10 points if I decide to use it. Hey, that’s as much as a hard riddle right there! You can only get points for one riddle a month, but you can submit as many as you’d like. Obviously, you can’t answer your own riddle for points. Please remember to include the logic these riddles should be judged by!
You may guess more than once, but please do not abuse this by spamming multiple answers all at once. This rule applies to regular and PM riddles, and THIS INCLUDES PUTTING TWO ANSWERS IN ONE POST. A good rule is maybe 1 or 2 guesses per hint or waiting a few hours so others have a chance. Double posting with a new answer is OK, as long as either a) a new hint has been given/I have stated whether or not a current crop of guesses is wrong, or b) it’s been a few hours and you’ve received a startling epiphany about what the answer actually is. Whatever your latest answer is the one that I will accept from you. Also, please don’t make posts adding logic to other people’s answers—it is unnecessary and will not earn you any points!
