My brother and my dad and me all just got into DBZ and when me and my family found about his death we were very sad.
I personally didn’t like the series until later and my life and now I regret it.

I never thought this day would come. I grew up with Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger (etc), and seeing his work pop up in all kinds of stuff made it feel like he would always be around. Not that I thought him immortal, but that his influence, and the effect his artwork had on the many different forms of media seemed to be a wonderful kind of ceaseless entrenchment. It’s sad that his time has come, but I think he’d rather his fans be happy about the works he left us, and the unique relationship he had with his audience through his artwork. A modern legend, and one that I certainly treasure. I suppose now we might not have something like Chrono Break, since the dream team can be no more, but that doesn’t mean that his inspiration can’t manifest something as worthy in the hearts and minds of his fans. Toriyama-san has more than earned a break from his passions. May he rest peacefully.

Before I played Earthbound, Chrono Trigger was my favorite game.
I love the art he did for the game; his characters in all his media will live on forever.
