Quick thoughts on character modifications: Cappy addition is nice, Link’s Remote bombs seem a bit cheese-tastic, dunno what the Ice Climbers segment means, Ike has two designs? ok. the new Star Fox final smash is cool, Ryu’s opponent facing is confusing to me, mid-air charging is a decent addition, Dedede’s new final smash is a cool use of modern assets, but no Buff Dedede is a pity, I stand corrected about Zelda’s design, and the new final smash seems cool, okay nevermind Pokemon Trainer is how he was in Brawl, lame. The meters for Limit and Tomes/Swords are cool, I like the Visible pocket for Villager, the Giga Bowser is AWESOME, Wolf is more distinct which is good, nie to see more stone transformations for Kirby, the new Monado Arts seems interesting, could be a nice risk/reward system. I really like the flashback design for Ganandorf. They seem to really want to make Miis work. Pit’s new Final Smash seems familiar, I swear there’s another like it, anyway nice to see it brought up to speed, why does ZSS use her Power Suit wtf, I guess all final Smashes are super moves now? ok. Palutena no longer has 12 moves I guess? Yay Daisy is in the game, have fun Chuggaa!
Inkling has ink consumption huh? cool. I like the variety they have with what it uses. Inkling are probably going to be very chaotic when several are in the same fight.
The Squid Sisters assist trophy looks absolutely stupid. Also I think the KOing of ATs is interesting and a cool dynamic in point matches
The stages showcase is cool, and I like the addition of battlefield forms.
Techniques: Ladder attacks look kinda awkward, the new Airdodges looks really powerful, the new Perfect Shield seems really hard, the greater damage in 1-on-1s is…interesting? Idk why it’s in.
Nintendo is acknowledging the Gamecube adapter functionality, and seems to be expanding amiibos usable. nice.
Ridley trailer just looks insane. Nice to see them reference the meme of his previous exclusion.He looks downright scary. Meta Ridley costume is cool. His standing pose freaks me out.
