So I tried flashing mother 3 to flash2advance and it didnt work.
Thanks to a user on GBAtemp I was able to flash it on there.
For those who want to know how to do it, here are the instructions.
NOTE:These methods involve forcing to trim the rom, so It will fit on the flash2advance, trimming the rom (with these methods) may cause glitches(though i havent found one yet)
4. Go to "File"> "Open"> “Patchedmother3rom.gba”(Or whatever it may be called)
5.All these numbers should pop-up
6. Go to "Adress"> “Go To”
7. Click hexadecimal and type in $1FF8000(btw those are ZEROES not o’s)
8. Then it will highlight one of the values
9. Go to "Edit"> “Delete from cursor”
10. You are done! Now go to "File"> “Save As”> “Whatever.gba”
NOTE: The GBA file should be 31.9MB(33,521,664 bytes) if it is not, you may have done something wrong.
11.Write it to your Flash2Advance!(You do not need to SRAM patch)
Now, I have no idea if this will cause bugs or glitches in the game. If anyone gives this a try and plays the trimmed patched rom all the way through, let me know if you come across any.
I am so very thankful for what you have posted. For the last few months, I’ve been sitting around with an ELINK cart that was from a bad batch… as a result, only 99% of Mother 3 would fit on the card. (Talk about my bad luck, or was it fate?)
Currently I am on Chapter 7 and will probably post again once I’m finished. So far, no problems with the ROM yet, though.

Hello again,
I’d like to note that I have reached a bug, which seems to be impassable. This is where it occurs, note the spoiler…
I am at the battle in chapter 8 near the end, where the player fights PORKY 01, PORKY 02, etc. Well, after PORKY 05, (that’s the last one that enters via rotation), PORKY 06 appears to “Fall” from the sky into battle. Well when he does, the HP/PP meters stop spinning, and the game freezes up. The music continues to play, though. I’ve tried this battle a few times now with the same exact result.
I’m going to try to extract the save file from the ELINK cart and then just finish the game up on an emulator for now.
I’d like to know if anyone else runs into this problem. It may just be because of the defect in the cart.

That actually sounds like a problem with the cart itself not because of trimming the rom. I forget how people got around it, you’d probably want to check the big ol flash cart thread for an answer.
Just tested the ROM trimmed the exact same way on Visual Boy Advance. Used the Debug Cheat to get to that fight and I got through it without a freezing screen or issues. My HP meter did stop spinning, but I believe they are supposed to because the next part of that fight begins. So it might be your flash cart like Tomato said. Sorry dude! But thanks for posting about it. I still think this is the only “safe” method of trimming the ROM.
