My opinion changes on this practically every day but at the moment I think Id say that Dr Andonuts theme is my favorite. This is because first of all traversing Winters as Jeff is one of my favorite parts if not my favorite part of the game, with Dr Andonuts theme feeling like a break in your adventure of all of these weird things happening. I also think that this music perfectly portrays how Jeff and his father may be feeling after not seeing each other for 10 years, it perfectly captures the sense of suprisement and warmth in seeing someone you love after so long. Id love to see what everyone else thinks too!

My favorite has got to be Saturn Valley.
It’s just so goofy and fits the goober vibe of the whole area.

Paula’s theme, hands down. It sounded like someone irl used that for their ring tone and it tripped me out

Weirdly enough, I’m a pomegranate.

Paula’s theme is especially cool to me since I played EBB first. It’s the same motif as the very emotional Youngtown theme there.

Personally though I’m biased to Kraken of the Sea. No idea why I like that song so much. World’s best study music though.

I live on comedy.

One day I’ll probably die from too much of it.

Pizza + Full Throttle + EB = Extreme!

This is a tough one, but I have to boil it down to top 3:

1. Fourside – the momentum of the music signals the change in momentum of the game. Getting through Threed and Grapefruit falls, getting Jeff from Winters, it’s all a slog up til then – and now you walk into Fourside with that big city fanfare – you have arrived.

2. Saturn Valley – goofy, fun, and innocent.

3. Runaway 5’s bus theme – A nice upbeat break

Some 15 – no, I guess 25+ now years later and STILL I am moved by this game.

Without a doubt, Boy Meets Girl. My favorite part of Earthbound is how it gives me the feeling of going outside and exploring a suburban area, which, gowing up, was something I only got to do on the rare occasions I visited my dad. Boy Meets Girl perfectly captures that feeling.

I’m with bricks and pio; I love “Paula’s Theme”. There was a similar thread a couple years ago where I had the same answer but it still holds true, for sure. It turned something formerly eerie to one of the most epic tracks in the game, alongside tracks like “You’ve Come Far, Ness” and “Buzz Buzz’s Prophesy”, which are definitely up there as well. I think these are some of my favorites on the OST because whenever I get to the parts in the game where they play I take a breather and jam for a little.

If the question were regarding Mother 3’s music, y’all would be banned if you did not say Unfounded Revenge. what do you mean i’m biased

I don’t think I have a favourite track in Earthbound. I generally prefer the OSTs of the other two games, especially Mother 3. Um, I guess I’ll list Onett’s theme as one of them since it’s actually playing in my head. Winters is good. Snowman, if you want to count it. Boy Meets Girl is pretty solid. Because I Love You.

My favourite song in Mother 1 is the title music. It captivates me in a way I cannot explain. As if it’s a lost memory from a past life. Mother 1 and sometimes Mother 2 give me these weird anemoic feelings actually.
