how would I make a whole translation and replace all text at once with different words because I am trying to make a earthbound ai translation with chatgpt

I’m not sure what you mean by “replace whole text at once”, but no matter what you do it will need a a big degree of editing by hand., it’s not like you can automate it entirely. Most text editors have a “find all a replace” feature that allow you to replace all instances of a word or phrase with a different word or phrase, but beyond that I don’t really understand what you’re asking.

Sure! I whipped up a quick program in Python that will allow you to Find and Replace every file within a folder you select, including files within subfolders. Make sure you don’t try to find/replace any text characters that are actually CCScript control codes, as it’s the same find/replace you’d find in any text editor. Use responsibly!

Well, you’ll probably have to do something for that yourself, unless some mad programming whiz shows up with a full knowledge of ChatGPT’s API and a program to parse and replace each label…

Yeah, to set up a program to modify all of EarthBound’s text via code and ChatGPT is a very complex problem. The Find/replace tool I made won’t help with that.
Your best bet is to just to do everything by hand, finding each line yourself, stripping the control codes, and re-organizing the lines in a logical order, and sending that to ChatGPT with whatever prompt you want. Having a setup with a premade prompt and perhaps something to parse the GPT output for you might help, but don’t forget the other huge problem: EarthBound’s script is humongous.
